Flavor

Described as a sweet, rich, intensely flavored balance of sweetness, acidity, and savory umami, rated among the best tasting dwarf varieties. This is the recurring catalog and grower description, not a measured claim.

Origin

Bred in 2006 by Patrina Nuske Small in Australia from a cross of Budai and Stump of the World, released through the Dwarf Tomato Project and introduced by Victory Seeds in 2011.

What it does well

  • Compact dwarf plant around 3 feet, good for containers
  • Produces full sized 6 to 12 oz fruit despite the short plant
  • Intense, well balanced flavor
  • High yielding for a dwarf

Where it frustrates

  • Greenish brown shoulders persist when ripe, making ripeness hard to judge
  • Lower total yield than a full sized indeterminate
