Flavor

Described as richly flavored with a silky texture, a dependable brown slicer for a small plant. This is the recurring catalog and grower description, not a measured claim.

Origin

Developed by members of the Dwarf Tomato Project from a cross of New Big Dwarf and Paul Robeson.

What it does well

  • Compact dwarf plant, roughly 2 to 4 feet, good for patios and containers
  • Full sized brown slicing fruit on a short plant
  • Needs little or no staking

Where it frustrates

  • Smaller total yield than a full sized indeterminate
  • Green ribbed shoulders can make ripeness harder to judge
